Democracy
& Development, a publication of the Centre for Democracy &
Development, has been providing accurate information on and rigorous analysis of
democratic developments in the West African region since January 1998.
In
the quest to offer you a better Democracy & Development that covers
issues and events in the region with more depth and analytical rigour, the
Centre has repackaged the journal in a compact A5 size format, devoting more pages
to tracking, reporting, and analysing events in the sub-region, particularly
questions of democratic development, conflict resolution, peace-building, and
the democracy and development nexus to the extent that they inform public
policy.
The
new-look Democracy & Development: Journal of West African Affairs
will not just inform and explain, it will also serve as a critical forum for
open and robust debate on political and economic trends in West Africa,
encouraging a cross-fertilisation of ideas in the theoretical and practical
aspects of democratisation, development, and peace building in the region.
